10 young women and girls aged 15 to 35 years from Lom will be involved in an empowerment initiative by promoting entrepreneurship. Within the WENTPower project, participants will receive training, mentoring and consultancy support in developing a business plan and two of them a scholarship for participation in the Youth Entrepreneurship Marketplace in 2019 in Sofia. The Youth Entrepreneurship Marketplace is the largest initiative of the  "Kauzi" Foundation and will be held for the eighth time.

The main objective is to meet business and social ideas at an early stage with potential investors - financing programs and organizations, banks, business angels. Every year start-up entrepreneurs receive personal consultations from representatives of organizations and institutions on how to shape their business and social ideas.

A trend in recent years has been the focus on social entrepreneurship and some of the most successful practices of the Marketplace are precisely in this sphere.

The project is the first initiative of a long-term program to support women's entrepreneurship, which will be implemented by the "Kauzi" Foundation and the "Generation" Foundation from Lom.

The selection of participants in the WENTPower project will be based on an application form, which have to be submitted online until September 30, 2018, or an interview with the organizers of the "Generation" Foundation and the "Kauzi" Foundation.

The selected candidates will be trained in business and marketing planning, finance, corporate social responsibility and presentation skills.

Then, for three months, they will receive free consultations from the Foundation's experts on the development of a business plan.

Two of the best students will receive scholarships to participate in the Youth Entrepreneurship Exchange 2019.

The project is funded by the Bulgarian Fund for Women, addressing social challenges that are relevant to the city and the region of Lom - poverty, social exclusion, domestic violence, and entrepreneurship as an alternative career and life path.
